As one of Wollongong’s best live venues, it’s a versatile and scalable space that can hold up to 520 seated music lovers. The Great Hall is situated adjacent to the UniBar. The hall has super high ceilings and is our largest venue on campus. There are multiple rigging points to fly in trusses and PA equipment. Note: An in-house rigger must be used for this and at the artists’ expense.
Our most popular UniBar venue, the Main Room, includes the internal bar area with a permanent stage set along the eastern wall. The Main Room has hosted countless world-class gigs over the past 20 years.
The Courtyard is situated under the stars on the paved area out the front of the UniBar and offers the best of both worlds. Guests can easily access the bar and enjoy tunes in the fresh night air – perfect for those summer events!
The Small Room is situated at the front of the bar and provides an intimate setting for touring bands. A Mega Deck stage is rolled in and drapes are pulled across to partition the space off from the Main Room creating a cosy atmosphere.
Looking for a relaxed space with a homely feel? The Beer Garden, located on the north side of the UniBar, is the perfect spot to socialise. With its fully-decked outdoor area under the gum trees, this lush green space is great for those chilled, informal events.
Set in the lush garden surrounding the UniBar, this is a unique outdoor space. Bordered by tall, whimsical native foliage, it provides the perfect backdrop for large scale events with festival ambience.
